"We", "us" and "our" mean U-GO SERVICES and E-TRANSPORT, a company established under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The “Application" means a software application we have developed that serves as a means to find Services provided by third parties.
The “Website” means an online channel where you can find information about us and the services we provide.
"Partner" means a person or an organization that brings its motorcycle(s) to be used on the U-GO platform
"Service Provider" means a Riders who apply for motorcycle with us or third party who ride their own motorcycle to provide Services through the U-GO Platform
"Services" means motorcycle-based transportation services offered by a Service Provider through the Application which may include (i) an instant courier service, (ii) transportation, (iii) food delivery and (iv) errand.
"Personal Information" means personally identifiable information about you that may be collected through the Application and/or Website such as your name, address, date of birth, gender, occupation, telephone number, email address and/or the like, and other information that may enable identification of a specific individual who is using the Application.
"Website" means our website at www.ugoservices.com.
We collect certain Personal Information from you to enable the Application to find Services from the Service Providers. You will directly provide some Personal Information (eg when you sign up) and some will be collected automatically when you use the Application.
When you visit our Website, our website administrators’ process technical data such as your IP address, visited web pages, the Internet browser you use, your previous/next visited websites and the duration of a visit/session to enable us to deliver the functionalities of the Website. In addition, in certain instances the browser may prompt you for your Geo-location to allow us to provide you with an enhanced experience. With this technical data our Website administrators can manage the Website, for instance by resolving technical difficulties or improving the accessibility of certain parts of the Website. This way, we ensure that you can (continue to) find the information on the Website in a quick and simple manner.
Upon signing up with the Application, you will provide us with your e-mail address, name, phone number and account password.
When you use the Application to find a service, you provide us information such as your location and your destination. You also provide us information about the items you transport and/or buy and your shopping costs when you use our errand or shopping service. When you use our Application, we also process technical data such as your IP address, Device ID or MAC-address, and information about the manufacturer, model, and operating system of your mobile device. We use this data to enable us to deliver the functionalities of the Application, resolve technical difficulties, and provide you with the correct and most up to date version of the Application and to improve the function of the Application.
We will ask you for some medical information when you make use of the medical services. This information includes your doctor’s prescription.
We will ask you for the phone number of a person who can be contacted by the Service Provider to complete your order when you use the Application to find an instant courier service. You must obtain the prior consent of the person whose phone number was provided to us by you for providing us the phone number and for us to share the phone number with the Service Providers.
When you TOP UP your U-GO WALLET, we collect such information as the name of the bank in which your account was created, the name under which the account is held, and the amount you transfer for the TOP UP.
You can share your referral code with your friend through the Application, for which, we will only prepare a message for you to send or publish through your social media provider or email provider. You can edit the message we have prepared before you send it. We do not collect your friends information.
When you use the Application through your mobile device, we track and collect your geo-location information on a real-time basis. We use this information to allow you to view the Service Providers in your area who are close to your location, set your pick up location and send it to the requested Service Provider, and see the requested Service Provider approaching on a map in real time. We may also use this real-time geo-location information to provide support, security through our partnership with the Nigerian Police, resolve technical or business issues that may arise in the course of your use of the Application. You can turn the geo-location tracking off at the device level temporarily. Your mobile device informs you when your geo-location is being tracked by displaying the GPS arrow icon.
We also track and collect the geo-location information of the Service Provider. This means that we also collect your information when you travel with a Service Provider. We will also use the Service Provider's geo-location information in an aggregated form in order to generate statistical information and management information and to provide you with increased Application functionality.
We use your e-mail, name, phone number and account password to verify your ownership of an account, to communicate with you in response to your order and to provide you information about the Application. We may also use your name, e-mail and phone number to send you news, general updates on the Application, special offers or promotions. We will also send you an e-mail asking you to subscribe to our Mailing List. You may at any time opt-out of receiving these updates. Google uses your phone number to offer better Spam protection.
We use your Geo-location and destination to find Service Providers near you, to help the Service Provider to calculate the fee and to analyse the pattern of use of the Application to improve the Application’s performance. We also use your Geo-location to offer safety service when you activate our SOS service.
We use such information as the name of the bank in which your account was created, the name under which the account is held and the amount you transfer to TOP UP to verify payments you make for the U-GO Credits.
We use your Personal Information in an anonymized and aggregated form to closely monitor which features of the Services are used most, to analyse usage patterns and to determine where we should offer or focus our Services. You hereby agree that your data will be used for our internal data processing to provide better Services to you.
Upon receipt of your order, we will share such information as your name, phone number, location, destination, Geo-location, the items to be transported or bought and/or the shopping cost with the Service Provider who accepts your request for Services. This information is required for the Service Providers to contact you, and/or find you and/or complete your order and to also help find you when you activate the SOS.
We also share the phone number of the contact person you have provided us with the Service Providers when you use the Application to find instant courier services and/or send us errand.
You hereby agree and authorize us to transfer your Personal Information to the Service Providers as a part of the provision of the Services. While your personal information will automatically be deleted from the Service Provider’s mobile device after your use of the Service, it is possible that the Service Providers may be able to keep your data in their devices by any means. We are not responsible for this kind of data storage and you agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless and not liable for any misuse of your Personal Information by the Service Providers upon completion of the Service provided.
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate or provide the Application and certain services on our behalf, to provide customer support, to provide geo-location information to our Service Providers, to perform Website-related services (eg without limitation, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Website's features) or to assist us in analysing how our Service is used or to our professional advisors and external auditors, including legal advisors, financial advisors and consultants. These third parties only have access to your personal information in order to perform these tasks on our behalf and are contractually bound not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
We do not share your Personal Information with any parties other than to the relevant Service Providers and the third party companies and individuals listed above, without your consent. However, we will disclose your Personal Information to the extent that this is legally required, or necessary to comply with statutory, regulatory and governmental requirements, or in the event of any dispute, or legal proceeding of any kind between you and us, or between you and other users with respect to, or in relation to the Services, or in the event of an emergency pertaining to your health and/or safety.
Your Personal Information may be transferred to, stored, used and processed in a jurisdiction other than Nigeria where our servers are located. You understand and consent to the transfer of your Personal Information out of Nigeria.
We do not sell, rent or lease your Personal Information to third parties.
We will retain your information until you cancel your account in the Application.
We do not guarantee the security of our database nor can we guarantee that the information you have provided will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us. Any transmission of information by you to us is at your own risk. You must not disclose your password to anyone. As effective as technology is, no security system is impenetrable.
You also represent that you have the right to share all the information you have provided to us and to give us the right to use and share the information with the Service Providers.
For email subscription, we follow the opt in and out policy. If you would like to stop receiving emails from U-GO, please click unsubscribe included in every e-mail except transactional e-mails that are being sent to you as a result of transactions performed by you through our application.

U-GO Services and PARTNER understand that their relationship is that of an independent contractor not partner, employee nor employer.
The PARTNER agrees that neither U-GO Services, partners, sponsors nor staff of U-GO Services shall be held liable for any expenses, damages, claims, suits, losses, costs, liabilities or claims for injury, illness, death or loss of or damage to property which may occur in the use of the aforementioned motorcycles.
